Park Tasmajdan

Tašmajdan Park is located between Takovska Street, Ilije Garašanina Street, Beogradska Street, and Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard on the site that once housed a quarry and later in the 19th century, Tašmajdan Cemetery.

Tašmajdan starts 600 meters southeast of Terazije and covers the southwestern part of the Palilula municipality. The park borders the Vracar municipality to the south and the Stari Grad municipality to the west. In a narrower sense, Tasmajdan occupies the area bounded by Takovska Street to the northwest, Ilije Garašanina Street to the northeast, Beogradska Street to the southwest, and Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard. The park itself occupies the largest area, while the northern and western parts are urbanized. In a broader sense, Tašmajdan extends to the north to the area between Ilije Garasanina and 27. marta Streets, and to the east to the area between Beogradska and Karnegijeva Streets.
