Park Milutin Milankovic

Milutina Milankovića Park is a park in the urban part of Belgrade, in the municipality of Savski Venac, in an area known as Western Vračar. It is located between Tiršova Street, Pasterova Street, and Boulevard Oslobodjenja, across from the University Children’s Hospital.

The park was built during the 1950s and surrounds the building of the First Serbian Observatory. The former name of this green area was “Stara Zvezdara” (Old Zvezdara).

The park has a rectangular shape, with a width of approximately 100 meters and a length of up to 150 meters. It was renovated in 2010 and currently bears the name of the Serbian scientist Milutin Milanković. He worked at the former First Serbian Meteorological Observatory, whose building now houses the Center for Climate Change “Milanković.”
