The Čubura Park is a public city park located in Belgrade, situated in the municipality of Vračar. It is located in close proximity to Craft Center and is bordered by the streets Mamkima Gorkog, Orlovića Pavla, Cara Nikolaja II, and Čuburska ulica. The park covers an area of 7 hectares.
Within the park, there are three children’s playgrounds, a seasonal amusement park, a dog park, a skate park, a basketball court, and a restaurant. In May 2009, a monument to Petar Kočić was unveiled in the park. The conceptual design for the monument was financed by the Zavičajno društvo Zmijanje, while the casting of the monument was paid for by the city of Belgrade. The monument was created by the academic sculptor Dragoljub Dimitrijević, and the figure is made of cast bronze and stands 3.2 meters tall. It is located in the part of the park between the streets Cara Nikolaja II, Maksima Gorkog, Čuburska, and Šumatovačka street, in close proximity to the place where Petar Kočić lived during his stay in Belgrade. A pedestrian path runs through the park.
In December 2015, a monument to the Belgrade Reader was unveiled in the park, which is the work of the artist Andrej Vasiljević. It represents the winning entry in a competition for works by students of the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. The monument depicts a girl sitting on a swing while reading a book, accompanied by birds, and it is inspired by similar monuments found in cities around the world. Since 2016, the First Regional Literary Marathon, titled “Belgrade Reader – 24 Hours of Poetry and Prose,” has been held in Čubura Park.
Since 2015, the park has traditionally hosted the basketball tournament “Trofej Vračara – For Vračar Without Barriers,” which has both a sporting and humanitarian character.
